Color & finish
When wear changes the color of the room.
Sun fading, uneven color, worn finish, peeling and flaking can make otherwise useful furniture feel tired.
What to show
Photograph both the change and the original tone.
A useful photo set includes the affected area and a nearby section that still shows the original color or finish.
- Fading and discolorationInclude the light source or window if it explains the wear pattern.
- Peeling and flakingShow a close-up and the size of the full affected zone.
- Uneven worn areasInclude adjacent panels so the difference is visible.
Material check
The finish matters as much as the color.
Not every surface is the same type of leather, and some furniture contains coated or synthetic sections. That is why the initial reply may ask for labels or additional angles.
The condition is confirmed in person before a final approach is agreed.
